ElectraCert is a cloud-based certification platform for UK electricians - producing BS 7671-compliant Electrical Installation Certificates, Minor Works Certificates and Electrical Installation Condition Reports, with professional PDF output and full audit trails.
Every electrical installation, modification and inspection generates a certificate. The problem is that producing them - correctly, completely, and in a format that stands up to scrutiny - takes time that most electricians don't have. Word templates get corrupted, paper forms get lost, and PDF generators leave out the details that BS 7671 actually requires.
ElectraCert is being built to fix that. A cloud-based certificate production platform that guides electricians through every section of every form - EIC, MWC and EICR - and produces a locked, professional PDF that meets the standard. Every certificate is stored, searchable and shareable, building an audit trail that protects you and your clients.
Developed by Construct Software, and deeply integrated with SafetyCert for compliance management teams, ElectraCert is the certification layer every electrical contractor has been waiting for.
ElectraCert covers the full set of BS 7671 certification documents required for new installations, modifications and periodic inspection - structured to match the standard exactly.
For new installations and major alterations to existing installations. The EIC captures the designer, installer and inspector declarations, supply characteristics, details of installation, schedules of inspections and test results.
For additions and alterations to existing circuits that don't require a full EIC. The MEIWC captures the essential test results and declaration for minor works - produced quickly, stored permanently.
For periodic inspection and testing of existing installations. The EICR captures the full schedule of inspections, test results, and observations - each coded to the standard C1/C2/C3/FI classification system.
Beyond the certificate forms themselves, ElectraCert includes the platform features that make certification efficient, auditable and safe to share with clients.
Every completed certificate is rendered as a locked, professional PDF. The document is protected against editing after completion - your signature is permanent.
Share any certificate with a client via a secure, time-limited link. No login required on the receiving end. Revokable at any time from your certificate register.
Every certificate carries a creation timestamp, engineer attribution and version record. Nothing can be altered after locking - giving you a tamper-evident record for every job.
Upload your company logo and it appears automatically on every certificate and client share page - presenting your own identity, not a generic template.
Complete certificates on a phone or tablet while on site. Designed for field use - large touch targets, logical form flow and offline-tolerant data entry.
Maintain a searchable register of clients, sites and installations. Previous supply characteristics and circuit details are pre-populated on repeat jobs, saving time on every visit.
Every EIC and EICR captures the declared next inspection date. ElectraCert sends automatic reminders as the date approaches - to you, and optionally to the client.
Completed EICRs push automatically to the SafetyCert compliance register, keeping your client's building compliance record current without double-entry.
Add engineers to your organisation account. Each certificate is attributed to the signing engineer. Admins can view the full certificate register across the team.
Every certificate issued through ElectraCert is stored permanently in a searchable archive. Find any document instantly by client, site, address, date or certificate type.
Draw your signature directly on screen - on mobile or desktop. Signatures are embedded in the locked PDF and stored against your engineer profile for all future certificates.
Construct Software ID gives you one login across ElectraCert, SafetyCert, CableSpec and the full suite. No separate account needed if you already use other Construct tools.
ElectraCert is designed for the full range of electrical professionals who produce BS 7671 documentation - from sole traders to large contracting teams.
